Hatha yoga

Hatha Yoga is the type of yoga most people are familiar with. This is a somewhat general term that a lot of types of yoga could fall under. In fact, for most people the term “yoga” refers to Hatha.

If you hear a class described as Hatha Yoga, it will probably be slow paced and easy going. You will learn a lot of the fundamentals of yoga in these classes. They are a great place to become comfortable with doing yoga.

Once you have been doing Hatha Yoga for awhile, you might find yourself growing bored with it. A lot of people want something a little more active, and you can get this while still practicing yoga. Other forms of yoga include a lot more movement and workout.
